At CES 2025, Chinese company Beatbot wowed attendees with a prototype of the Amphibious RoboTurtle, a robot turtle designed to assist in ecological research.

The company, already known for its pool cleaners, stated that this new innovation could be extremely helpful for ecological research, water conservation, monitoring, and environmental disaster response.

The robot is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, AI cameras, GPS, and a water collection unit. Its batteries are charged by solar panels, which also send data and receive commands via satellite.

Its silent operation does not disturb marine life, and it can be customized to meet the needs of clients. The company’s goal is to “solve global ecological challenges on a large scale,” said York Guo, marketing director of Beatbot.
